Why do I need a home inspection?

A home inspection is a great way to see and learn about systems and how they function in a home. We will not only show functionality but maintenance procedures as well. For those buying it can be a further evaluation of the house in addition to size, layout and location. For those selling it can be an added incentive to promote the sale.

What does a home inspection all consist of?

A home inspection consists of an evaluation of the following components:

  • roof
  • structure
  • attic and insulation
  • interior (walls, floors etc.)
  • exterior
  • heating systems
  • cooling systems
  • ventilation systems
  • electrical
  • plumbing

*Systems that are controllable will be tested within reason. For example, an air conditioner cannot be operated and tested in the winter.

What will I receive from the inspection?

Along with knowledge gain of the house, clients will receive a full professional electronic report. It will show inspection findings including a summary, annual home maintenance estimates, timeframes and repair cost estimates. This report can be used for many years after the inspection has taken place.

What if questions arise after the inspection?

You may call or email me after the report has been delivered and I will answer any questions that you may have without additional cost to you.
